Who is eligible to sign up as a healthcare freelancer with Life Extension?

Life Extension offers the services of qualified healthcare freelancerswho are properly certified and / or licensed here in Hong Kong. While the overwhelming majority of our freelancers are also educated in Hong Kong, some have earned educational degrees overseas in countries such as the U.K., Australia and the U.S. We do not, however, offer the services of professionals who are not Hong Kong-certified or licensed. We look to match healthcare professionals with the right level of experience with our client needs, and we have professionals with experience in a full range subdisciplines and skills in our pool of independent contractors.

What supporting documentation does an applicant need to provide in order to go through the registration process to enter Life Extension’s pool of approved freelancers?

In order to successfully register for our pool of independent contractors, an applicant needs a currently valid certification or license for their profession in Hong Kong. We also need proof of educational degree and / or professional training, as well as proof of current address. All applicants meet with at least two Life Extension employees so that we can understand your experience, job preferences, professionalism and temperament.

After successfully registering, how does Life Extension notify me of available freelance job for which I can potentially apply?

We strongly encourage all our registered freelancers to download the Life Extension app (see “[Install the Life Extension App ]” on this website). Our app provides an up-to-date indication of all currently available jobs that may interest the individual freelancer. The app also has a personalized calendar, showing the freelancer’s scheduled jobs with Life Extension, as well as serves as the means of transmitting messages. Life Extension also extensively uses popular instant messaging apps to communicate with freelancers, as well as the telephone.

How does Life Extension determine its pay scale for independent contractors?
Life Extension offers competitive compensation. We set our pay levels with reference to the current market rates in Hong Kong offered to independent contractors of a certain profession or qualification (e.g., registered nurse v. enrolled nurse; generalist v. specialist). Obviously, also, hours worked for a client also determine overall pay level.
